To Seek and Save the Lost
It’s easy to assume the ‘lost’ are those outside the modern church, but when Jesus taught, He focused His sternest rebukes for the leaders, the teachers of His Law. He even warned in Matthew 7 that most who claim Him as ‘Lord, Lord’ will hear, “I never knew you” instead of “Well done good and faithful servant.” God sent prophets to warn Israel of their apostate hearts and actions, though few bothered to listen before He brought His judgment through Assyria and then Babylon and then Rome. Let us not have our hearts so hardened that we don’t heed His many, many warnings today.
Our Purpose
To help professing believers in Jesus Christ know the Truth of His Word, a Word that has been watered down, diluted, and ignored for too long. Many churches talk about revivals, but it’s more about marketing strategies than living holy lives.
We have been called to ‘be holy.’ That means to stop sinning. We are not powerless against sin as many pastors, priests, and preachers are wont to tell us. If we have the Spirit living in us, we most certainly can stop sin in our lives.

Our Beliefs & Values
We believe that we are sinners by nature and that sin separates us from God. We believe the wages of sin is death, which we deserve. And after death, Judgment. We believe Jesus lived a perfect life, was crucified as a substitute for our sins, was buried and raised on the third day, and appeared to many witnesses to assure us that He is alive. We believe in Jesus’ words that command us to repent (turn from our sin) and entrust our lives in faith to His authority and in doing so, we will receive the promised Holy Spirit as our guide, to teach us and lead us to a holy life in preparation for eternity with Him in Heaven.
Unity
Any person who repents and trusts in Christ alone and understands His call to live holy lives is one with Him in spirit. We also believe too many stumbling blocks have been thrust into the path of those who truly desire to serve and honor the LORD will all their heart, mind, soul, and strength, including the modern notion of church ‘membership,’ which doesn’t unify but rather degrades the clear order of sovereignty Jesus holds over His chosen followers.
Liberty
We are free to do anything, freed from the requirements of the Law, but as Paul tells us, not everything is beneficial and sin still has consequences. Our liberty involves being freed from the rules of men, the sacrificial system that was meant to lead people to repentance but had been turned into rote worship, and freed from watching what we eat or where we lived. Our freedom in Christ is amazing, but it comes with a massive responsibility.
Love
Modern ‘love’ bears no resemblance to Biblical love. For God’s love is agapeo, or agape, meaning sacrificial love, the highest form of love. Love is a verb. It’s an action. Loving the LORD with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength means obeying all that He commanded. Loving your neighbor as yourself means seeking his or her benefit and welfare just as you would for yourself. It doesn’t mean supporting their sin, looking the other way, or avoiding sharing the gospel because you’re worried it might offend them.
Salvation
If you get married, take your vows, is that it? Can you lie, cheat, and steal and do whatever you want and expect to remain married for life? No. So why do so many professing Christians cling to the false idea that salvation is secured from one singular vow of faith? Salvation is a process that begins when you first repent and surrender your life to Christ. It continues throughout your life and demands devotion. A covenant is not a guarantee. It’s an agreement. God is faithful to hold up His end of the deal, His promises. We are called to do the same and that means agonize to enter the small gate, rid ourselves of sin, and glorify His Holy Name with our entire lives. There’s a reason He warned us that many who claim Him as ‘Lord, Lord’ will hear, “I never knew you. Away from Me you evildoers” instead of, “Well done good and faithful servant.” That’s Truth. ‘Once saved, always saved’ is one more lie from the great Deceiver who whispered to Eve, ‘Did God really say you’ll die?’
Eternity
Whether the unsaved, unrepentant, or apostate suffer eternally or not isn’t the issue any more than whether God created the Earth in 6 literal days or millions of years. The issue is that even if they are ultimately annihilated in the fires of hell, their torment will feel like eternity while those who repent, turn from their sins, mourn over their sins, and entrust their lives to Jesus Christ will enjoy everlasting joy.
“There are some who call Me ‘Lord, Lord’ will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father who is in Heaven. For many will say to Me on that Day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your Name and in Your Name drive out demons and in Your Name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. I’m G. Thomas Hedlund. Gerald. I don’t pretend to know everything about Scripture, but I know enough. For much of my life I either had no interest in God, believed He didn’t exist, or hated Him with a passion I can’t even fathom anymore. Yet He saved me and I am eternally grateful. My life isn’t over yet, and that means there’s still a race to run, a battle to fight, and chances to fall away. In spite of the monumental and numerous failures of most pastors and churches and elders in my life, I am truly saved and I see the modern American church for what it is: lukewarm, at best. I take the warnings of the Prophets and Jesus and Paul and Peter and James and John and all the others very seriously and encourage you to do the same.

Listen, most church leaders and teachers today will admit we are in the Laodecian church age, which means lukewarm. Christ warned that church He was about to vomit them out of His mouth. They made Him sick. They were comfortable, wealthy enough, and needed nothing. They were merely going through the motions of worship and faith. I’ve yet to see one church admit they or the bulk of their congregants may very well be lukewarm. That’s a major red flag. We simply refuse to see that we might very well be on the wide road that leads to destruction, humming and singing along without a clue we’re about to step through the veil of death on the wrong side of eternity. It’s time to wake up!

Frequently Asked Questions
Why are you attacking good Christians constantly?
Jesus told those listening, especially the religious leaders who assumed they were in God’s good graces, that they beat and abused and ridiculed the prophets God sent to warn the people time and time again. What makes us think we’re any different today? Jesus didn’t change God’s requirements against sin or His expectations of holy living for those who claim to love Him. We don’t attack good Christians. We warn the unrepentant, the lukewarm, and those just ‘doing church’ because it’s tradition. And we warn with earnestness and tears because He is coming back soon and the great falling away He warned about in Matthew 24 has been building for over a century now.
Doesn’t John say we can know for sure if our salvation is secure?
Absolutely. You can. But who was John writing to when he said that? A persecuted people. Modern Christians in Western cultures don’t typically endure any real persecution, but they’ve sure been quick to hijack promises meant for others and hold them as their own. If you’ve never had your life or livelihood threatened for your faith, based on history and Scripture, you’re more likely on the wide road and don’t even know it. It’s time to wake up.
Do you believe in Annihilationism?
That’s not important. Whether the unjust, unsaved, or lost are tormented in hell for eternity or perish in the second death doesn’t matter. It will feel like eternity, even if it’s not. Knowing that God is love and mercy and the fires and suffering torment that was intended for the rebellious angels that were cast out of Heaven, I hope that He will put an end to the suffering of those who refused His sacrifice… eventually, but even if He doesn’t, it’s His Creation, His universe, His world. He knows what is right and just and will do it.
The King James Version is the only authorized Bible translation, so why don’t you use it?
Who authorized it? Who said it’s the only authorized version? Not God. Besides, it’s antiquated. The Holy Spirit through Peter and the Apostles spoke to people in their own native tongues on the Day of Pentecost, but we’re supposed to struggle through an outdated and clumsy translation still? Besides, I don’t trust a translation that used some of the original Greek, some Hebrew, but also secondary translations in Latin as their source. I trust the LORD on this and not men.
What credentials do you have for us to listen to you?
None. So don’t, if you don’t want to. Jesus wasn’t formally trained. Neither was Peter or John or James or Matthew. Neither was Hosea or Amos or Joel or… I could go on and on. God opposes the proud and elevates the humble. People are the same as they’ve always been. Two thousand years ago and beyond, they valued formal training and education and still got almost everything about God’s Word wrong. Somehow, magically, that’s all different now? I don’t think so. In fact, I know so, having listened and sat under the preaching of a number of leaders who never seemed to grasp the true nature of repentance, living holy lives, obeying God, or even salvation.
What must I do to be saved?
Whether you think you’re a good person or not, you need to first understand you’re a sinner. If you’ve ever lied, cheated, stolen anything, used the LORD’s name in vain, envied another, or any number of sins, then you’re a sinner. What you’re owed is death and then punishment. There is no purgatory; that’s a manmade lie from the Deceiver. It’s now or never. To be saved, you must recognize your sin for what it is: an affront to a Holy and Perfect God, repent of those sins (turn from them), and trust your life to Christ in faith, which means obedience. If you’re willing to give up everything for Him, including possibly your own life, then you’ll be saved. It’s an amazing gift we can’t earn, but it comes at the highest price.
